1. Three Forks Hot Springs
One of the top-rated hot springs in Oregon, Three Forks Hot Springs is tucked in a remote section along the Owyhee River.
Located beneath a waterfall, the hot springs offer incredible views of the surrounding desert and rock formations. The best part? It’s far from the crowds, so you can often enjoy a peaceful soak with no distractions.

To get there, you’ll need to hike a few miles through rugged terrain, but the reward is well worth the effort. The river can be high, so be careful and don’t cross without testing.
2. Snively Hot Springs
Despite its remote location, Snively Hot Springs is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Accessible via a short walk from the parking lot, this accessible spring features several pools at different temperatures, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day in the wilderness.

While it’s more popular than other springs in the area, the beauty of the canyon and the views make it worth the visit.
The pools here range from mild to hot, and you’ll be surrounded by dramatic cliffs and river views that make the experience even more special. It’s a lovely spot to relax, take in the scenery, and let the warm waters melt your cares away.

3. Willow Creek Hot Springs
Located in the southeast corner of the state near the Nevada border, Willow Creek is one of those hot springs that feels like it was made just for you.
It features two soaking pools in a wide-open sagebrush basin, with sweeping views in every direction. Sunrise and sunset here? Unreal.

Despite being off the beaten path, it’s car-accessible and has a few primitive campsites nearby.

4. Alvord Hot Springs
Right on the edge of the surreal Alvord Desert, this rustic hot spring setup offers a one-of-a-kind soaking experience.
The man-made tubs sit just off the desert floor, with steam rising into the vast expanse of sky and salt flats. It’s especially magical at sunrise—or under a full moon.

There’s a small fee to use the pools, and basic amenities like bathrooms and changing rooms are available.
You can also stay overnight at the on-site accommodations or camp nearby. It’s a bit more developed than the others on this list, but the location? Absolutely unbeatable.

5. Summer Lake Hot Springs
Located north of Paisley, this peaceful resort-style hot spring is set in a wide valley surrounded by mountains.
The main pool is indoors in a big, rustic barn-like structure, with additional outdoor soaking options available. It’s one of the easiest hot springs to access in the region.

The vibe here is quiet, laid-back, and perfect for couples or solo travelers looking to really chill. You can book a cabin or pitch a tent, and spend your evenings soaking in warm mineral water while the stars come out.

6. Crystal Crane Hot Springs
Just outside of Burns, Crystal Crane offers a more developed experience with a large pond-sized soaking pool and private tubs available for rent.
It’s a great option if you’re not down to rough it—but still want that Eastern Oregon vibe.

You can stay in everything from a tent to a tiny house to a teepee here, making it a great base for a weekend of desert adventures. The water is toasty, the skies are big, and the sunsets? Chef’s kiss.
